DR. A. JOEL DAGNONE

Dr Dagnone is a Urologic Surgeon. He completed his MD at Queen's University and his urology residency at Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS. He then returned to Ontario to complete an Endourology and Laparoscopy Fellowship at the University of Toronto, St. Michael's Hospital.
Dr. Dagnone is a staff surgeon at Trillium Health Partners and operates out of Mississauga Hospital, Queensway Health Centre and Credit Valley Hospital.
Dr. Dagnone is the Physician Lead for Urology at both the Mississauga Hospital and Queensway Health Centre and is a lecturer in the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Dagnone is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCS(C)) and is a member of numerous professional organizations including the Canadian Urology Association (CUA), the American Urology Association (AUA), the Societe Internationale d'Urologie, as well as the Endourology Society.

SURGERIES - Due to the ongoing pandemic, surgical resources at THP hospitals have been significantly reduced. The THP surgical platform continues to operate at 50% capacity. Surgeries are being re-triaged and re-scheduled on a priority basis. The office will contact you directly with your surgery date & time, once it is available. Covid-19 swabbing is required 4 days before surgery. See additional information below.
CYSTOSCOPIES - Due to the ongoing pandemic, cystoscopy resources at the hospital have been significantly reduced. If your appointment is impacted you will be contacted. Cystoscopies with Dr. Dagnone are being completed at the Queensway Health Centre, located at 150 Sherway Drive in Etobicoke. There is no special preparation for cystoscopy. You can eat, drink, take your regular medications and drive to and from your procedure. You will receive an automated notification (by telephone, email or text) of your appointment date & time.
SURGICAL CLINIC/AMBULATORY CARE APPOINTMENTS - urology ambulatory care clinic located at the Queensway Health Centre, 150 Sherway Drive in Etobicoke, is operating at a reduced capacity. You will be contacted by the hospital directly or by an automated notification (telephone, email or text) of your appointment date & time.
OFFICE APPOINTMENTS - most office appointments are being conducted by TELEPHONE. Please allow a 1-2 hour window for your telephone appointment, as Dr. Dagnone may need to address unplanned urgent concerns at Trillium Health Partners hospitals.
If required, please complete your bloodwork or xray in preparation for your appointment. You will receive an automated notification (by telephone, email or text) of your appointment date & time.
If you require a prescription refill, please ask your pharmacy to FAX a request for authorization. (Plan ahead - allow 3-4 days for Dr. Dagnone's review and authorization.)

* ALL COVID-19 SWAB TESTS for surgery patients are to be completed at the Credit Valley Hospital Drive Thru Assessment Centre. The hospital will contact you 4 days before your surgery with instructions. There are no exceptions to this hospital policy.
